Under the headline “Fast Politics” EAPC invites you to next year’s annual EAPC in Milan, Italy.
There is much to learn and much to miss if you don’t participate. This year’s conference focus on what is happening around us right now technological. We are moving beyond the election campaign and digging much deeper.
From previous conferences we have learned, that modern social media, data transparency and knowledge about how the brain functions is changing politics forever. However, these fundamental changes in society have an even more important impact on the way politicians govern society after the posters have been taken down and supporters have left the rallies.
We often tend to focus on the existing technology and its impact on the campaign, but this year EAPC argues that it is the mere pace of the change that is the important. As our conference host writes on the new conference website:
Every business or politician that ignores these transformations does so at its own peril. To thrive in this climate requires a whole new approach: parties, politicians and institutions must change the way they communicate with citizens.
On top of this exiting theme there is the three very important to visit Milan between the 16th and the 18th of May 2013:
- Meet some of the most important consultants in the world
- Stay on edge with the latest technologies in campaigning
- Find business and networking opportunity
All in all we would say that you can miss it. Milan waits for you.
The registration opens 3 December 2012 here.
