It’s a sad moment, but we have to inform you, that our mentor, initiator and honorary member passed away at the end of August.
Michel has been one of the greatest pioneers for political marketing in Europe. His biggest success was the campaign for Charles de Gaulle and for Georges Pompidou and others. Together with Joe Napolitan, one of the greatest pioneers for political campaigning in the states and campaigning manager of John F. Kennedy, he founded 1968 the IAPC, the International Association of political consultants.
For more than 40 years, he led the association with a unique passion. During the seventies, Harry Walter, another pioneer from Germany, joined the group as a treasurer. These three wonderful men did a great job, to exchange ideas with others and support the development of democracy worldwide.
In May 1996, Michel invited a group of European consultants to Paris to discuss the idea of founding a new association, the EAPC. In September 1996 the founder meeting took place in Vienna and Michels dream became reality.
In all years, both, Michel and Joe supported the EAPC in the best way, to become importance and lot of members. Both have been honorary members of EAPC. In November 2013 Joe passed away. Two months later Harry and now Michel. The EAPC and all political consultants worldwide lost with this unforgettable friends the best masterminds for developing democracy. We all keep our friends in our mind and will work further like our friends have done.
