Parliamentary elections took place in Ukraine on 26 October. Right now, one day after the election, there are strong indications pointing towards a victory for the pro-Western parties.
The final results have not yet been published and is expected to be presented in the morning of 30 October. According to the first census, the block supporting the incumbent President, Porosjenko, gets nearly 25 percent of the votes. According to the polls, the other pro-European parties will most likely achieve a great election.
At the moment, the big losers seem to be the right wing and the pro-Russian parties. President Porosjenko has already announced that negotiations on a new government will start later today (the 27th of October).
