Kristina Wilfore brings a mastery of virtually all aspects of politics and grassroots organizing to Karakoyun Strategies with over 20 year’s experience in the US and abroad in campaigns and elections, policy development and civic advocacy. Kristina is a global change agent helping to create a more vibrant and accountable democracy worldwide. She is an international development consultant who regularly trains, speaks, and writes about issues that impact people’s participation in politics, parties and parliament. She works with political leaders and NGOs throughout Eastern Europe, the Balkans, Middle East and Central Asia, in countries such as Belarus, Georgia, Kosovo, Serbia, Kuwait, Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia. She is also a leading expert in increasing women’s political participation through her experience forming women’s Parliamentary caucuses, conducting one-of-a-kind public opinion research on attitudes toward female politicians, and forming grassroots coalitions to address barriers to women’s leadership. In 2011 the Kyiv Post awarded her expat of the year for her work to defend democracy in Ukraine. She is listed in the Women’s Media Center’s online braintrust (www.SheSource.org) as an expert in democratic development movement building.
