Mahmoud Khalifa is an accomplished academic in Political Science with a focus on public policy issues in the Middle East. He is the Acting Head of the Political Science Department at Applied Science University in Bahrain and a professor of political science at Suez Canal University in Egypt.

In 2011, Mahmoud joined the University of Lincoln in the UK as a Visiting Fellow till 2023. In 2013, he completed his Ph.D. degree from the University of Lincoln (UK) and Suez Canal University. In 2018, he was promoted to Associate Professor. Then, in 2023, he achieved the prestigious position of Full Professor of Political Science.
